Data Retention and Deletion (required by Google Play) 10.1 How long we keep your data The App stores the following data only on your device (no servers): - Test history (test name, pass/fail, timestamp, brief detail string) - App settings (theme preference, history limit) - Premium status (purchase state from Google Play Billing) This data remains on your device for as long as you keep the App installed and do not manually delete it. If you uninstall the App, all its data is removed automatically from your device. 10.2 How to delete your data You can delete all App‑related data in two ways: Method 1 – Delete from within the App (recommended) - Open Droid Holmes - Go to Settings (gear icon) - Tap "Clear" button next to “Clear test history” label (clears history) - To delete all data including settings and premium status, use Method 2 below. Method 2 – Delete via Android system settings - Open Android Settings → Apps → Droid Holmes - Tap “Storage & cache” - Tap “Clear storage” (or “Clear data”) This removes all local data – test history, settings, and premium flag. Important: Purchases are managed by Google Play. Clearing app data does not cancel your purchase – you can restore Premium for free by reinstalling the App. If you are unable to delete data using the steps above, contact us at realfictionfactory@gmail.com and we will assist you.
